RacrHub vs Lapsite vs Wix and Squarespace for Racing Driver Websites
October 28, 2026 · RacrHub
Scott Lukaitis published the sponsor problem on May 21, 2026. He is editor and chief content producer at The Privateer's Story. When a potential sponsor searches your name, he asks what they find. The result he names is "scattered social media posts and outdated race results". His line on a real site: "A professional website immediately changes perception. It shows organization, commitment, professionalism, and long-term thinking."
RacrHub publishes this comparison. We sell one of the products reviewed. Prices come from the fetches dated 29 October 2026. Checkout totals can vary.
Short answer: Lapsite and RacrHub list racing features; Wix and Squarespace offer broader selling tools. Lapsite founding Pro is £9/mo on a subdomain; custom domains and Race Reports begin on Max at £19/mo. RacrHub Pro is $9/month for unlimited partners; Elite is $29/month for your own domain. Wix Light reads $17/month in one extract and $17.77/month in the other, billed yearly. Nine pounds and nine dollars are different amounts; this comparison does not convert currencies.
Lapsite, in pounds
Lapsite's pricing page is in pounds. Free is £0, with "Links & GRID templates", "Hosting and subdomain (username.lapsite.app)", and "Forever free - no credit card required". The FAQ supplies the names Pro, Max, and Studio. Pro prints £19£9/mo, Save 53%, and "Founding rate": £9/mo is the founding price. It includes single-page templates, 7-day analytics, and one division at a time. Pro, Max, and Studio offer a 14-day trial requiring a credit card. You are not charged until the trial ends. Founding copy says "Early adopters pay less. Forever." and "your price is locked in forever."
Max prints £39£19/mo, Save 51%, and "Founding rate". It lists "Custom domain", "All divisions unlocked", "Full analytics (up to 90 days)", and a CMS. The FAQ names "Race Reports" and "separate pages for About, Gallery, Sponsors, Blog, and more" on multi-page Max and Studio sites. Studio prints £400£200/mo, Save 50%, and "Founding rate", plus "Studio-exclusive templates (Showroom, Gallery)" and "50 vehicles in Studio Collection". Max "excludes Showroom & Gallery". Domains connect on Max and Studio, "while Free and Pro plans use a free subdomain (username.lapsite.app)." Every plan is limited to one site per template type. There are two divisions, "Motorsport (racing drivers, teams)" and "Automotive (showrooms, specialty shops)." Max and Studio allow both simultaneously.
LAPSITE LTD, Company No. 17004942, lists a London address and says "Live in 5 Minutes." Home-page blocks include "Sponsor Showcases", "Next Race Countdown", and "comprehensive season calendars", with no plan named. It also advertises "10+ pre-designed templates to choose from." On the templates page, free Links copy is "featuring sponsor logos", Pro Racecard includes a "live event countdown" and sponsors, and Max Racefolio has "dedicated pages for gallery, sponsors, merchandise, career stats, and contact". The compare hub, "Last updated March 2026.", claims "11 purpose-built templates vs. 800+ generic ones" and "Beautiful templates, but none built for automotive". Wix's October page does not print 800+.
What the RacrHub pages list
RacrHub pricing shows Free, then Starter at $5/month, Pro at $9/month, and Elite at $29/month. Monthly and Yearly toggles are visible. No yearly dollar amount is listed. Each card displays a Loading... placeholder. Free includes "Showcase up to 5 partners to get started", "See who visited in the last 7 days", and "Contact form so sponsors can reach you". Starter allows 15 partners and 30-day analytics, with "Expanded gallery, merch & press sections" and "Keep RacrHub branding". The free card never mentions branding, and no card mentions ads. Pro adds unlimited partners, "Full-year analytics plus CSV export", and "RacrHub-hosted URL with light platform branding". Elite adds "Your own domain (e.g. demohero.com)", "Hide RacrHub branding for white-label presentation", and "Team management & future API access". The API is future; merch is a profile section, with commerce not listed.
The home page says "Organize sponsors by tier for maximum visibility." Those logo tiers are separate from the 5, 15, and unlimited slot caps. "Keep fans updated with your race schedule, results, and standings." Colors "match your personal brand." None of that names a plan.
Two extracts of the Wix plans page
Wix's plans page was saved twice. The reader extract prints Light "17$ per month.", Core "29$ per month.", Business "39$ per month.", and Business Elite "159$ per month." Reading the page text’s separate dollar sign, whole number, .77, and mo fragments together gives $17.77, $29.77, $39.77, and $159.77 per month. Both extracts say "Price includes GST". Core, Business, and Business Elite in the page text also show 159/ and (Save 50%). The extract never defines that fragment, so it stays out of the monthly comparison.
Both extracts say the displayed prices "are for yearly subscriptions, paid in full at the time of purchase." Only the page text adds "Prices and currency vary by location. USD prices displayed for reference only." Both also say "Prices do not include applicable taxes". The amount due is the one on the purchase page.
The free card says "1000’s of templates"; later page copy says "+2000 templates" and "Choose from 2000+ website templates." Light and higher paid cards list "Free domain for 1 year". Light does not list payments. Core adds "Accept payments", "Basic eCommerce", and "Scheduling and services". That scheduling row is bookings. Business lists standard eCommerce; Business Elite lists advanced eCommerce. "Google Ads with Wix" is a row with no yes or no marks, so plan coverage is not listed. Race results are not listed either.
A banner says all plans include a "Custom domain". The free card does not list one. Premium can "connect your own domain, remove Wix branding from your site, and more." Most Premium plans include a "1 year free domain voucher", "only included with the first time purchase of a Premium plan" and "redeemable within 60 days", for a new domain bought from Wix, excluding renewal of an existing domain. The banner and FAQ do not resolve to one domain rule. The free URL in that answer is "username.wixsite.com/sitename". Cancel within 14 days of the "initial upgrade to a Premium plan" and the "14-day money-back guarantee" returns a payment you have already made. Ads on the free Wix plan are not listed.
Squarespace's pair of prices, and Kelly's build
Squarespace says "Squarespace doesn't offer a free plan", "every site starts with a free trial", and "no credit card required". It also says "Free for 14 days." and "Every Squarespace website starts with a 14-day free trial." Pay annually and Pay monthly both appear. The FAQ mentions "discounts when you choose an annual plan instead of paying monthly." Basic prints $25/mo and $19/mo; Core, $39/mo and $29/mo; Plus, $65/mo and $49/mo; Advanced, $139/mo and $99/mo. This piece treats the lower figure as annual, because the page describes annual as the discount.
Basic lists a "2% online store transaction fee" and "2.9% + $0.30". Core lists that card rate and "No fees on online store transactions". Plus lists "2.7% + $0.30"; Advanced lists "2.5% + $0.30". Both also list "No fees on online store transactions". These are starting card rates.
Annual plans "include one (1) year of free domain registration on available domains on our cheapest pricing tier." The FAQ separately promises "one year of free domain registration for new websites". Sponsor blocks and race results are not listed. Branding removal and third-party ads are not listed; free-plan ads do not arise.
Kelly, named on the P1 Web Development racing page, lists "Most starter sites are $995, with optional upgrades like a merch store or blog. Hosting and updates are $50/month." The stack is "Built on WordPress + Elementor Pro for full control". Delivery is usually within 2 to 3 weeks, depending on scope and content delivery.
We would not pay the $25 Basic figure for a driver profile on its own, because its selling tools and 2% store fee offer little reason to choose it for that job.

FAQ
What is the best Lapsite alternative for a grassroots racing driver?
RacrHub's free card lists 5 partners, a contact form, and "See who visited in the last 7 days". Schedule, results, and standings are home-page lines with no plan named. Wix and Squarespace pricing pages do not list those racing sections.
Which plan lists a custom domain, and at what printed price?
Lapsite puts "Custom domain" on Max (£39£19/mo, Save 51%) and Studio. RacrHub puts it on Elite at $29/month. Wix puts it on Premium, with a voucher "redeemable within 60 days", and a banner that says all plans include one. Squarespace includes a free year on annual plans "on available domains on our cheapest pricing tier." Nothing here converts pounds to dollars.
Do the free RacrHub or Lapsite plans mention ads?
No. Ads are not listed for either free plan. Branding on RacrHub Free is not listed. Starter says "Keep RacrHub branding", and Elite says "Hide RacrHub branding for white-label presentation". Premium can remove Wix branding. Free-plan ads are not described. Squarespace has no free plan.
Can Wix or Squarespace stand in for a racing-specific builder?
They can, once you build the sponsor and results sections. Those sections are not on their pricing pages. Wix lists "Scheduling and services" from Core up, as bookings, plus eCommerce. Lapsite’s 800+ Wix-template comparison dates to March 2026; Wix’s October fetch prints higher counts.
How do these monthly plans compare with hiring P1 Web Development?
P1 lists "Most starter sites are $995" plus $50/month for hosting and updates, usually within 2 to 3 weeks. The builder cards above are monthly pounds, monthly dollars, Wix yearly prepay, or Squarespace's two cycles. RacrHub's Yearly toggle has no dollar amount. Use a builder if you will update the page yourself. For a custom build, send Kelly your name, class, three dated results, and a partner logo to scope the $995 starter.
