Racing Driver Resume: What Goes on It and When to Send It

RK Excel America's race page, for RK chain and Excel rims, puts a warning above the FAQ. "The #1 reason we don’t reply to resumes is because contact information is not provided!" The all-caps line under it names an email address, a street address and a phone number (RK Excel America).

The FAQ below that warning is already about next season. RK tells professional teams and riders to send resumes in September, gives September 2026 for 2027 racer support as the example, and warns that its budget is very limited, so don't leave it to the last minute. Amateur resumes are accepted year round, which means one can still go out this month. Support does not renew on its own, either. Every rider or team sends a new resume each year, and support expires at the end of the year.

A racer resume is one page that tells a brand who you are, where and what you race, how you have finished, what you will race next season, and what you will do for them, with a phone number, email and street address on top. Fall is when it gets used. Most of the 2027 support windows open right now belong to motorcycle, ATV and UTV parts brands, and we say that up front because a grassroots car or kart racer has a shorter list. The document works the same way for both.

When each window closes

Five pages print a window, and the dates do not match. Most of the rows are motorcycle or ATV and UTV brands. BRM Offroad is the one that also lists karts.

| Brand | What they make | Who it covers | Window | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | RK Excel | Motorcycle chain and rims | Amateurs year round; pro teams and riders | Pro example: September 2026 for 2027. Amateurs still open. | | GBC Powersports | ATV and UTV tires | All levels and ages, GNCC to regional series such as WNYOA | Open. Mid-November at the earliest, after racing season. Deadline March 31, 2027. | | MOTOREX USA | Lubricants | Riders | October 1 through November 30, 2026. Replies sometime in December. | | Motion Pro | Motorcycle tools and cables | Motocross, Supercross, off-road, RoadRace, flat track, ATV, UTV, snowmobiles | November at the top. September and October in the FAQ. Review in November. | | BRM Offroad | Graphics, Stuttgart, Arkansas | Quads, dirt bikes, side-by-sides, snowmobiles, karts | September 1 through March 31. Apply again every year. |

RK will not answer a resume that skips the contact block, and GBC will not consider one. "Applications that do not include complete contact info will NOT be considered." On the Greenball site, GBC asks for a race resume, pictures and contact information (GBC Powersports).

MOTOREX USA stops at the dates. A file after November 30, 2026 will not be considered, so borrow the field list from a brand that printed one. Replies are expected sometime in December (MOTOREX USA).

Motion Pro contradicts itself on one screen. The top says applications begin in November for the following season. The FAQ says September and October. Review starts in November, then an acceptance email within 2-6 weeks. An October 2026 file matches the FAQ. Send it to racesupport@motionpro.com (Motion Pro).

What to put on the page

The brands that printed a field list agree on the bones: contact details, recent results, next season's plans, and a paragraph on what you will do for the brand. RK wants the series you ran in each of the last three seasons and how you placed. GBC adds photos of the race vehicle and your goals for 2027. Motion Pro wants the page short, typed and well written, with your age and what you will ride.

The Fasst Family, in a January 30, 2024 post, wrote that the average rider rep goes through 1000+ resumes. That figure is theirs. They want one page, no loud colored lettering, and a start made of name, address, phone, email and a short bio. Add one high quality action photo (Fasst Company).

Then the results. "You wouldn't believe the amount of fake race results that get slapped on resumes." Highlights are enough, with the class on each one. They do not need every race from the last five years. Off the bike, they named an honor student, a small business owner, or a multi-sport athlete.

Write the next paragraph at the size of their example. "If you have 6 regular riding buddies and none of them run this product, that’s an opportunity for growth." Name who will see the product where you race, and what you will send after the race. RK calls this what you will do for them if sponsored. GBC calls it the promotion summary. Add industry references with a phone or email, then proofread. Good grammar, they wrote, is one of the most underrated parts of the page.

They tell riders to try 5 or 7 sponsors they can build a relationship with. Thirty you barely talk to, they wrote, does not help those sponsors. "Unless you’re Eli Tomac, Oakley probably won’t care if you’re “repping the brand.”" A smaller goggle brand working for regional share is who they say a rider can help. Email the person who runs that program, resume attached, and write the note to them.

The one series page in this set raises the bar. F1 Academy, which says its mission is to find and nurture the best female driving talent in the world, takes racing CVs at development@f1academy.com and only answers drivers who meet, or will soon meet, its eligibility criteria. Its list goes past what any parts brand asks: date of birth, national sporting authority and licence grade, results with the level they came at, timesheets or feedback that show your pace, current season plans, and three- and five-year plans. "Any driver under the age of eighteen (18) must seek permission from a parent or legal guardian prior to submitting a Racing CV." Most club racers are not sending that email this year. The list is still worth borrowing for your own planning, starting with the three- and five-year plans (F1 Academy).

A blank you can copy

This blank follows the fields those programs printed. One page. Replace every line, and delete a line you cannot fill with something you can show.

Name
Age
Parent or guardian permission, if you are under 18 and the program requires it

Attach one action photo. Age is there because Motion Pro asks for it. The parent line is there because F1 Academy requires permission before a racing CV goes in.

If you race a car or a kart

Drift American, a Mustang parts shop in Fort Collins, pays contingency for Formula Drift Pro-Am, grassroots drift series, and major U.S. drift events (Drift American). The offer is store credit or product discounts. National FD Pro-Am pays $250, $150, $100 and $25 in credit, first through a top eight. A major grassroots event pays $100, $50, $25 and $10. Run parts bought from them, put the decals in the required locations, register before the event, send proof within 7 days, and tag them in at least two posts per event with the car in action. Where the form asks why they should sponsor you, name who will see the car and name those posts and that seven-day proof. If you already run their parts, this one is worth filling in.

BRM Offroad, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, takes karts from September 1 through March 31, same window as quads, dirt bikes, side-by-sides and snowmobiles (BRM Offroad). They want where you race, how long you have been at it, the class, realistic goals, and a few sentences on why you want to partner with them. Local Racer is on the form. For a kart racer who wants graphics support, this is the clearest application on the list.

JCM Kartsports in Brantford, Ontario, pays for a decal and a podium. "You don’t need to apply or sign a contract." Run a full decal kit, podium, and send the photo. Any kart, any class from club to national. A club win pays $10 in JCM Bucks, a regional win $15, a national win $25, and a visible JCM suit adds 50%. The bucks expire at the end of the current race season. If the page pays for a photo, send the photo (JCM Kartsports).

No dirt late model or asphalt late model brand form turned up in the pages we checked. For those cars, the same sheet is something to hand a local shop owner or team owner in person. On a bike, RK wants logos on both sides of the swingarm, away from the footpeg, plus the updates it posts. On a car, write where the logo will go and how often a result will follow.

Before you pay someone to design it

High Gear Success, a resume design service, starts at $175 for editing and design, and you get a PDF. A testimonial on that page, from a customer named Jeremy P, says "I heard back from FLY Racing already. That one deal more than makes up for the cost of having you do the resume for me." That is a buyer speaking on the seller's site. Spend the $175 if you want someone else to edit the sentences and lay the page out (High Gear Success).

F1 Academy asks for social or website information if you have any. One line on the resume can point at a page that still shows this season after the PDF is sent. On RacrHub's free plan, the profile lives at racrhub.com/ followed by your username, with up to five partners, basic templates, a contact form, and visitors from the last seven days. Sponsors are shown by tier with logos, links and deliverables. The profile includes a schedule, results and standings. Starter is $5 a month, Pro is $9 a month, and Elite is $29 a month with your own domain. The resume is still the page you type and attach.

Fill the blank for the program that matches what you race. If that program is MOTOREX, the file has to arrive by November 30, 2026. If you are walking it into a shop, take it on the next visit, and check the street address and the phone number against the ones you answer.

FAQ

What should a racing driver resume include?

One page: name, mailing address, phone, email, age, series and class for recent seasons, finishes with the class on each result, where you will race next season, current sponsors, and what you will do for the brand. Add social handles, one action photo, and references someone can reach. Under 18, get a parent or guardian's permission when the series requires it.

When should I send a resume for 2027 support?

Use the date on that page. RK Excel's pro example is September 2026 for 2027, and amateurs can send year round. GBC Powersports is open through March 31, 2027, with a decision from around mid-November at the earliest. MOTOREX USA closes November 30, 2026 and replies sometime in December. Motion Pro lists both September to October and November, and starts review in November. BRM Offroad runs September 1 through March 31.

Do I need a new racing resume every year?

RK Excel requires a new one every year. Support expires at the end of the year and does not renew on its own. BRM Offroad requires a new application each year, with nothing carried over. Describe the season you are entering.

What if I race a kart, a drift car, or a late model?

BRM takes kart resumes from September 1 through March 31, and Local Racer is on the form. JCM Kartsports in Brantford pays JCM Bucks for a podium photo and does not want an application. Drift American in Fort Collins pays store credit from $250 for a Formula Drift Pro-Am win down to $10 for a grassroots top eight, and also allows product discounts. No late model form, dirt or asphalt, was in this set. Hand the sheet to a shop owner, a team owner or an engine builder.

Should I pay someone to write my racer resume?

High Gear Success starts at $175 for editing and design and delivers a PDF. Jeremy P's testimonial on that page says a FLY Racing deal covered the cost. A typed page can hold the fields the parts programs listed. Pay if you want the edit and the layout. A designed file with no street address still fails the test RK Excel printed on its race page.
